The Drumgrange Commitment to Fighting Modern Slavery

October 2024

Drumgrange Ltd is fully committed to the fight against modern slavery, particularly in our supply chain. As a responsible defence contractor, we conduct rigorous due diligence, working only with suppliers who uphold ethical practices. Our goal is to eliminate any risks of exploitation and promote transparency and accountability throughout our business.

With Anti-Slavery Day approaching (18th October 2024), it is vital to highlight the growing crisis of modern slavery. Globally, an estimated 50 million people live in conditions of forced labour, human trafficking, and exploitation. Conflict, climate change, and authoritarian regimes have only increased the vulnerability of workers, pushing them into the hands of traffickers and exploiters.

Modern slavery is not just a distant problem—it affects the UK as well. Thousands of people are trapped in exploitative conditions here, working in sectors like agriculture, construction, and domestic services. The victims often come from marginalised communities, drawn by the promise of safety and income, only to find themselves exploited and powerless.

We stand together with global and local efforts to combat modern slavery and call for stronger actions from governments, businesses, and communities. Together, we can protect human rights and ensure a future free from exploitation.
